CBS has ordered an ‘iCarly’ reboot with Miranda Cosgrove, Jerry Trainor, and Nathan Kress returning.
Paramount+, which is simply the rebranding of CBS All Access, is getting a reboot of ‘iCarly’ set to star three of its original cast. Miranda Cosgrove, Jerry Trainor, and Nathan Kress will be returning to their respective roles, no word on Jennette McCurdy returning to her violence-loving Sam Puckett role, though.
Following the exploits of three friends hosting a webcast, ‘iCarly’ drew in a sizable audience before its final episode in late 2012. The series tossed our trio into various situations that sometimes involved Carly’s brother, Spencer, or other side characters that were simply there to keep the series going and interesting.
CBS ordering a revival of this long-since ended series and what’s more bringing back some of its beloved cast is simply a good thing to see for fans. It also gives way to plenty of other series coming back in the ways of a reboot.
It isn’t clear when we’ll get to see the series in all its glory or if it’ll grab the same – or similar – magic that its original did.
