Indian filmmaker, Ashok Amritraj, and his production company are teaming up with Endeavor Content to make a Rubik’s Cube film and game show.
Ashok Amritraj’s company, Hyde Park Entertainment, is teaming up with Endeavor Content to bring to life a Rubik’s Cube flick. Details are sparse at this time, but it is clear that Amritraj’s intentions are to build this iconic toy a reputation in the entertainment industry.
Amritraj aims produce the feature film with Priya Amritraj and Addison Mehr acting as its executive producers. Amritraj will also co-produce the game show alongside Glassman Media’s Andrew Glassman. Amritraj cites that he has a “nostalgic connection” to the toy and is thrilled.
“I’ve had a personal and nostalgic connection to the Rubik’s Cube from my early days in India. I am thrilled to partner with Endeavor Content and Rubik’s/Smiley and look forward to creating a wonderful and complex Rubik’s universe.”
First presented to the public in 1974, the Rubik’s Cube has garnered a huge sales record with over 420 million sold worldwide.
